Overview.
This is a wonderfully packaged three days reunion with your Cousins; the mountain gorillas at Bwindi impenetrable national park; home to half of the world’s mountain gorilla concentration. The park is one of the most visited in the country, very secure and blessed with amazing weather. The visit will be to one Gorilla group and one of the four sectors in the Park.
Gorilla trekking is one of the most exciting activities done by vacationists with no much effort and regrets. It is the primary activity in this visit and flavored by a Batwa cultural encounter as well as the equator. The trip starts and ends at the agreed point.
Detailed tour.
Day 1: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.
Meet and be briefed by our company representative at your pick-up point either in the city or at the airport. It will be a detailed talk about the trip, before hitting the road on a long drive to the isolated Bwindi impenetrable national park (home to the rare mountain gorillas); a 9-10 hour drive through green vegetation, busy streets and captivating hills. Lunch will be en-route, whereas dinner and a nap at the lodge in your preferred sector.
Day 2: Gorilla trekking and cultural encounter.
At birds call, you will consume a hefty breakfast meal, and then head to the sector’s headquarters very early in the morning for registration and pre trekking briefing with the park rangers who will explain the do’s and don’ts while with the apes in their territory. They will allocate you to the Gorilla family of your choice before encountering them; an activity that can last for roughly 1-8 hours from the point the Apes were last spotted.
Mountain gorillas are shared with humans over 98% DNA is only found in the continent of Africa, and encountering them is a lifetime experience. After spending the one-hour bonus taking photos, and viewing the apes, you will return to the lodge for lunch with your trekking certificate.
In the afternoon, you have an option of either relaxing at the lodge or visiting the Batwa pygmies to learn and be entertained. The Batwa are among the shortest people on earth. They spent most of the lives as gatherers and hunters in the tropical forests of Bwindi and Mgahinga national park. The day is counted off with a dinner and overnight.
Day 3: Departure.
Kick start your day with breakfast, followed by an exciting drive to the airport for a flight, but with an en-route stopover at the equator for photography and lunch. The equator is a marginal line that divided the world into two, the northern and southern hemispheres, and crosses only thirteen Countries worldwide. After watching the magical demonstrations, you will proceed with the drive to the airport for departure.
