3 DAYS MURCHISON FALLS NATIONAL PARK SAFARI.
Overview.
This is a 3 day Murchison fall national park Unwrapping safari; every experience you have ever wished to get outside is attained, except for spotting cats that require Luck. However, the good news is that Murchison is home to the world’s most powerful waterfalls (Murchison falls), a very breathtaking landscape and four of Africa’s sought Big 5; namely, the African cape Buffaloes, elephants, leopards and lions.
Rare plant species and birds among others are the attractions you should count on for the three days. You will engage in game drive, boat cruise to the top of the falls, Rhino tracking at Ziwa and a guided top of the falls hike. The trip starts and ends at Entebbe international airport or Kampala, Uganda.
Detailed safari.
Day 1: Arrival and transfer to Murchison Falls National Park – Enroute stopover at Ziwa Rhino sanctuary.
Upon your arrival at the airport, you will be met and briefed by our expert driver-guide, who will conclusively explain everything you need to expect from the start to the end of the safari. From Kampala (The capital city of Uganda) to Murchison Falls National Park, you will spend 5-6 hours on a tarmac and maram road, plus an extra one hour of tracking the rare Rhinos, a member of Africa’s Big 5, at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary.
Lunch will be enroute, but you will arrive at the lodge late in the evening for dinner and a night of peaceful sleep.
Day 2: Game drive and evening Boat cruise.
Gladly will you welcome this day with a yummy breakfast meal very early in the morning, followed by an exit drive around the northern sector of the park, where you will not only encounter the rare plant species, but also primates such as; the monkeys and baboons, Birds such as the Egyptian geese, crested cranes, and the geenefowls among others, and mammals such as the giraffes, Uganda kobs, elephants, warthogs and waterbucks among others and making a mention of lions or leopards on a good day. During the game drive will you will have a bush breakfast, followed by a lunch break.
In the afternoon, you will go for a 2-3 hour boat cruise to the bottom of thundering Murchison Falls, where it squeezes itself through a 7meter gauge, offering very captivating scenery, worth photography. Among the sights to look out for this afternoon include the Nile crocodiles, hippos, birds, and several mammals among others. Not only will this adventure end here, but also grabbing the optional top of the falls hike, where you will be exposed to the bubbling Murchison falls. This day ends after you have had a sunset drive to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 3: Departure.
After enjoying a yummy breakfast meal at the lodge, you will have an optional nature walk through the designated paths, before checking out of the lodge for a 5-6 hour amazing drive to the airport for your flight or around the city.
