In this 3 days gorilla and Golden monkey trekking safari, expect amazing back-to-back activities, fun, and rare encounters in one destination; volcanoes national park. This is the most visited park in Rwanda, gifted with a large concentration of mountain Gorillas and Golden monkeys, to which you will track deep into the lush jungle.

Detailed safari.
Day 1: Arrival and drive to Volcanoes National Park.
At daybreak, our driver-guide will pick you up for the trip, but first, a briefing at Kigali city, visit the Genocide memorial site, local markets, and then Lunch. Thereafter, you will hit the road to Volcanoes national park; a 2-3 hour scenic drive, with amazing views of rolling hills, green vegetation, and many more. You will arrive at the lodge late in the evening for dinner and overnight.
Day 2: Gorilla trekking and visit to Twin lakes.
Today, you will depart your lodge very early in the morning after breakfast, for Volcanoes national park headquarters, where the park rangers will register you, explain the gorilla trekking rules, and allocate you to the different Gorilla families, in which you will be accompanied for about 1-8 hours, plus an extra 1hour for watching them play, move, feed or rest.
Mountain Gorillas can only be found in Africa, and their genes are over 98% human-like. After trekking, you will return to the lodge for lunch, followed by afternoon refreshment at the shoreline of Twin Lakes – Ruhondo and Burera. Sunset calls for a drive back to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 3: Golden monkey trekking and departure.
After early morning breakfast at the lodge, you will head to the park headquarters for briefing and registration. Golden monkeys are so attractive and cheerful, spending most of their time switching from one tree branch to another thus requiring your full attention when taking photos, or watching them.
Tracking these creatures may last for approximately 1-4 hours, plus an extra hour with them. Afterwards, you will return to the lodge for lunch, and then checkout for a drive to Kigali airport for your flight.
