Overview.
No trip to Tanzania would be complete without a safari, with high chances of encountering big five animals and by joining our 3 days Serengeti & Ngorongoro Safari, it’s not just a safari but heeding the call of the wilderness. Serengeti National Park in northern Tanzania is famed for sheltering numerous wildlife species including the big five animals -buffaloes, Rhinos, lions, elephants and leopards in addition to hosting the annual migration where millions of zebras, wildebeests and gazelle cross the open plains to Kenya’s Masai Mara National Reserve, creating your ultimate African safari experience.
Ngorongoro Conservation Area, also in northern Tanzania is also wildlife-rich destination with Hippos, zebras, Masai giraffes, elephants, wildebeests, Cape buffaloes, white Rhinos and many others.
Day 1: Drive to Serengeti National Park and undertake an evening game drive.
The first day is not just the beginning of the safari but the start of something unforgettable. Have breakfast at the Hotel or any location in Arusha and embark on the magical trip into the vast wildlife-filled wilderness of Tanzania. The journey lasts about 5-6 hours, allowing you arrive the Park in the afternoon for Lunch as well as unwinding at the booked Lodge or Tented Camp.
In the evening embark on a game drive to search for the big five animals-elephants, Rhino, buffaloes, lions and leopards), Masai giraffes, zebras, Grant’s and Thomson’s gazelles, Hippos, wildebeests, cheetahs, impalas, common elands, spotted hyenas, Olive baboons, Defassa waterbucks and black-backed jackals. This game drive will also offer an opportunity of marveling at sunset over the savannah plains of this magnificent National Park. After this incredible game drive, relax and have dinner in the comfort of the lodge/tented Camp.
Day 2: Half day tour of Serengeti National Park and connect to Ngorongoro Conservation Area.
As the early bird catches the worm, the early tourist catches the best sights during game drives. Start your second day with an early morning game drive starting by 6:00am to catch up with the predators-lions, spotted hyenas, leopards and cheetahs still hunting and before returning to their hideouts. By the time the sun rises, you will have exhausted the Park’s hidden treasures and recap with views of grazers-zebras, Kobs, Defassa waterbucks, wildebeests, common elands, Rhinos, elephants, Oribis and Cape buffaloes, not leaving out the browsing Masai giraffes.
A lovely breakfast will be waiting for your return from the game drive and later check-out for a transfer to Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Leave with packed lunch and make a stop at Olduvai Gorge – a popular archeological site in Tanzania and arrive the brim of Ngorongoro Crater in the evening where you will be welcomed by several wildlife species.
Chill, dine and slumber at the booked Lodge/or Tented Camp while preparing yourself for the next day’s adventures.
Day 3: Explore Ngorongoro Conservation Area and return to Arusha.
Rise to a cup of tea/coffee and head out for the game drive through the magnificent Ngorongoro Conservation Area where endless views of Zebras, Hippos, elephants, giraffes, Kobs, elands and Cape buffaloes shall be the order of the game drive.
Drive back to the Lodge for a proper breakfast and check-out with a lunch box for a transfer to the Crater for an exceptional birding experience. With numerous spots for relaxing, your picnic lunch shall be enjoyed from the Ngoitoktok Springs area, then leave for Arusha. Drop-off at a Hotel, Airport or any other agreed location.
