3 DAYS TSAVO WEST NATIONAL PARK SAFARI.
Overview.
Join the 3 days Tsavo West National Park Safari to experience the astonishing views of cheetahs, elephants, Hippos, leopards, Cape buffaloes, Rhinos, Gerenuk, hartebeests, Lions, Hippos, zebras, wildebeests, Masai giraffes, spotted hyenas, Eastern black rhinos, Klipspringer, bush babies, lesser kudu and fringe-eared Oryx among others. While on this short safari, you will also spot a variety of bird species in addition to relishing the magnificent backdrop of the snow-capped Mount Kilimanjaro.
Established in 1948, Tsavo West National Park sprawls for 9065 square kilometers within the Coastal Province of Kenya. Tsavo West with the adjoining Tsavo East National Park are separated by a railway as well as the Nairobi-Mombasa road, although both form part of the vast Tsavo Conservation Area. Besides its myriad of wildlife and bird species, this Park is also a wonderful Rock climbing destination, is also a popular Archaeological site in addition to boasting of magnificent sceneries especially from the Mzima hot springs and Tsavo River among others.
Trip itinerary.
Day 1: Drive from Nairobi to Tsavo West National Park.
Be ready for pick-up and transfer to Tsavo West National Park after breakfast. Drive through the spectacular Athi Plains and access/or enter this Coastal Province-based National Park through Maktau South gate, Maktau north gate or Mtito Andei gates and straight away start the game drive while encountering different wildlife species and arrive the Lodge for a hot meal.
After your Lunch, relax at the Lodge and in the evening undertake the guided game drive while enjoying sunset views of the Lodge, wonderful wildlife species including buffaloes, fringe-eared Oryx, Topis, lesser kudu, elephants, Klipspringer, Kobs, Rhinos, hartebeests and zebras among others. Get back for dinner and rest at the booked Lodge.
Day 2: All day exploring Tsavo West National Park.
You have the entire day to discover the well-kept secrets of Tsavo West National Park. Start the long day with a hefty breakfast and with your packed Lunch embark on the game drive to hiding places for predators-lions, striped hyenas, cheetahs, leopards, fringe-eared fox and large herds of elephants, buffaloes, lesser kudu, Klipspringer and wildebeests among others.
Have a picnic Lunch and drive to the Ngulia Rhino Sanctuary and Mzima Hot springs. Your game drive will end in the evening with the last minute visit to the water hole where numerous animals will be encountered. Return to the booked Lodge/Tented Camp for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 3: Transfer from Tsavo West to Nairobi City.
On this day have a leisurely breakfast, check-out of the Lodge/Tented Camp and meet-up with your safari driver for a transfer to the City of Nairobi. Firstly, have another game drive through the Park while exiting to spot other animals as well as bird species of the Park that were not encountered the previous 2 days.
Have an enroute lunch and on arrival at Nairobi City, either be transferred to your preferred place of residence or Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for departure to your next destination.
