Overview.
In this 4 days Lowland gorilla trekking safari, the ever-present memories are made in Kahuzi-Biega nation park; one of the top travel destinations in the Democratic Republic of Congo. The travel highlights are made from the start to the end of the days, covering accommodation, transportation and many more services.
Time is perfectly followed, with fun, refreshment and discovery has given top priority as you deserve more than the best. The trip starts with a Kigali city tour, followed by your lifetime gorilla trekking before departure. The trip covers two countries; Rwanda and the Democratic Republic of Congo

Day 1: Arrival and Kigali City Tour.
Just as you arrive at Kigali international airport, our expert driver-guide will gladly greet and welcome you for this rewarding adventure in Congo’s Kahuzi-Biega national park; an asylum to the sought-after eastern lowland gorillas.
Depending on your arrival time, you will head for a yummy lunch meal around Kigali city, followed by a 1-2 hour Kigali city tour, across the buzzing streets. In the list are local markets to learn of how locals trade, and also purchase anything you will need, before going to the Genocide Memorial Site to pay some tribute. In the evening, you will drive to the lodge for dinner and a nap.
Day 2: Transfer to Kahuzi-Biega National Park.
At day crack, you will enjoy a yummy breakfast meal at the lodge and then check out of the lodge for a transfer to Kahuzi-Biega National park east of Democratic Republic of Congo. This drive exposes your eyes to breathtaking sceneries, rolling hills and green plantations.
You will have an en-route stop for lunch, across the magnificent Rwanda-Congo Border post and then arrive at the lodge in the evening for dinner and overnight.
Day 3: Lowland Gorilla trekking.
After the last sip of coffee at the lodge early in the morning, you will drive to the park headquarters for registration and pre-trekking briefing, done by expert park rangers. In the about 30 minute talk, you will be told facts about lowland gorillas, the tracking rules and allocated to the gorilla family of your choice.
Mountain gorillas are also a rare species of gorillas, with big body sizes and spend most of their time on the ground, as compared to their counterparts the mountain gorillas. Tracking time is dependent on your speed and fitness, though most people take from 1 to about 5 hours, plus a bonus of one hour of watching the creatures as mothers breastfeed, the charming silver – lining on the back of the adult males and the infants playing.
Thereafter you return for lunch at the lodge, followed by an optional tour of Tshibati waterfalls. Sunset arrives with dinner and overnight.
Day 4: Departure.
This day starts with a lip-smacking breakfast meal at the lodge and then you will check out of the lodge for a drive to the airport for a departure flight. In case your flight is late in the evening, then one more activity can be added on this day.
