Overview.
These 6 days safari will swallow up your loneliness, boredom, and love for adventure, through its strange sights and sound. The days are planned in a way that you won’t repeat encountering the same things, and from one unique destination to another, having fun, learning, and understanding what the wild is or should be made off.
You will visit Volcanoes National Park in Rwanda – asylum to the sought-after mountain Gorillas, and also Serengeti national park for a wide range of flora and fauna. City tours, mountain Gorilla trekking, Dien fossy hike, cultural adventure, and drive make up the list of activities you will do in the six days. This safari starts in Kigali Rwanda and ends in Tanzania.
Safari Day by Day.
Day one: Arrival and transfer to Volcanoes National Park.
Immediately you land at Kigali international airport, our company representative will gladly meet and offer you a welcome greeting to Rwanda; the land of a thousand hills; we do it lovingly. You will enjoy a glass of Juice and Lunch meal at Kigali city, and then hit the road on a 2-3 hour drive to volcanoes national park; traversing waving locals, green vegetation, and undulating hills.
Volcanoes national park is Rwanda’s first choice national park; hosting the sought-after, yet endangered rare mountain Gorillas. Arrival at the lodge will be late in the evening for refreshment, dinner, and overnight.
Day two: Mountain gorilla trekking.
This day’s smiles start with a yummy breakfast meal at the lodge early morning, and then a drive to the park headquarters for a pre trekking briefing by the experienced ranger guide. Mountain Gorillas are a rare species of Apes found only in the continent of Africa. Tracking them starts from the point they were last seen, and lasts for about 1-7 hours depending on your speed and the direction they have taken.
Also, an additional one hour is given by the park rangers for you to watch the infant’s samousalt, mother’s breastfeeding, and the gentle silverbacks feast on the foliage. Thereafter, you will withdraw from the park for your certificate, followed by Lunch. In the afternoon, can choose from either relaxing at the lodge or visit Twins Lake. Day three: Dian Fossy Hike and Transfer to Arusha, Tanzania.
Today starts with a Lip-smacking cup of coffee, and then an exciting morning walk through the forest to the graveyard of Dien fossy. For lucky hikers, they always chance to spot Gorillas on their way; though what we are sure of is the presence of unique plants, birds, and the backdrop of the giant Virunga Mountains. Dian fossey was a Gorilla lover and researcher, who devoted her time and money protecting and understanding the life of these rare creatures until she met her death while on duty.
Visiting her research station and grave helps you appreciate gorillas and understand the importance of Conservation even more. Thereafter, you will return to the lodge for early lunch and then drive to Kigali for a brief city tour, before flying out to northern Tanzania. Our Tanzanian company representative will meet and brief you before taking you for dinner and a nap at the hotel in the heart of Arusha.
Day four: Drive to Serengeti National Park.
After breakfast, you will check out of your accommodation for a transfer to Serengeti national park, after a rewarding Arusha city tour. The drive offers amazing views of undulating hills, scattered homesteads, and vegetation. There will be an en-route stopover for lunch, before proceeding to the lodge at the park for dinner and a nap.
As you enter the park, your favorite mammal, or bird can emerge from any direction thus the need for you to be alert. You will refresh, enjoy dinner, and overnight at the lodge.
Day Five: Full day Game drive.
At daybreak, you will happily greet your intestines with a heavy breakfast meal at the lodge, and then head to the seronera region of the park; exploring its breathtaking landscape, and encountering the different residents feeding or hunting, notably; wildebeests, lions, Rhinos, hippos, impalas, zebras, cheetah, African cape Buffaloes, leopards and many more, birds, and primates among others. There will be a Picnic lunch today, whereas dinner and a nap will be at the lodge.
Day six: Village walk and departure.
After breakfast, you will spend about three hours with the Masai warriors in the nearby communities; watch them carry on with their morning chores, and enjoy their traditional dances and songs. Thereafter you will drive to the airport for a departure flight.
